The acceleration and deepening of the financial crisis in mid September 2008 has led to a qualitatively new stage of the process. Also governments and the financial main-stream had to learn, that the crisis was more than a credit crunch, which could be treated with the injection
of fresh money by central banks. They started to perceive the crash as a systemic one, and they understood that this system had run out of control. Some of them even took a self-critical attitude.

Nobody can predict the future. Therefore, it is neither possible to predict substantial reforms nor just window dressing. But what we can do is looking at existing factors which have strong influence on the possible paths into the future. The future is not completely contingent.
